ESNEFT long covid clinic

I was referred to the Long Covid Clinic in September 2022, and on the 31st October had a teams meeting about what long covid was and what the service might be able to help us with.  This was how I realised that I had other symptoms, that I had been ignoring and not thought much of. These were: -hot flushes at 7pm every night -random incontinence, no warning, whole bladder down my legs in one go. Normally wearing pale jeans and preferably in public.  -getting out of breath when talking, let alone walking up stairs -brain fog (work is like a giant charades game, me not knowing peoples names and them having to guess which bit of machinery I am attempting to talk about) -memory issues -dizzyness/light headedness  -muscle weakness -chest tightness I took several things away from this session. I'm not alone, there is no magic pill, some of it is linked to the nervous system and some to my breathing. I knew I had no lung damage, the x-rays were clear. I was struggling with the breathing,

A bad start

And this finishes off my day. I just wanted some lasagne, instead I melted and burnt the food and plastic container it came in. Still ate it. I used to walk miles, throw my lockdown baby on my back and walk for miles, 15,000 a day, through the woods behind our house, working extra hours wasn't a problem, and then my husband went on tour with his band 13 (facebook.com/13musicofficial if you re noisy) went on tour and he brought covid back as a souvenir. He had the dressing gown of doom out for a week, I had a 2 hour lie in and then had to carry on as normal as my 2 year old, although infected, was intent on enjoying life.  That was my new start.  A few months later, the fatigue was getting to the point that I was struggling to cope, I fell asleep one day at my desk as I just couldn't keep my eyes open.
